UTXO Set Report

A data report on the composition of bitcoin's unspent transaction output (UTXO) set as of April 2025 — roughly 173 million UTXOs broken down by script type (P2PKH, P2WPKH, P2SH, P2PK, P2TR, and so on) and by value. It notes, for instance, that Taproot outputs are a large share of UTXOs but a tiny share of value, and that a large fraction of outputs are economically negligible "dust."

It is not about quantum computing, but its value-weighted breakdown is the kind of input used to estimate how quickly bitcoin's value (as opposed to its raw output count) could migrate to new script types, since most value sits in relatively few outputs.
